¶ When does battery heating start and stop?
Battery heating is fully managed by the Battery Management System (BMS):
- When the battery temperature drops below 0°C (32°F),
the BMS automatically activates the heating function. - When the battery temperature reaches 6°C (43°F),
the heating function automatically stops.
No manual action is required from the user.
¶ What is the purpose of battery heating?
The primary purpose of battery heating is to:
- Prevent the battery from being unable to charge in cold conditions
¶ Does battery heating interrupt ongoing work plans?
No.
During the heating process, current work plans are not interrupted
Once heating is complete, Yarbo automatically resumes normal operation, including charging and any subsequent scheduled tasks
¶ Can Yarbo be manually controlled while the battery is heating?
No. Currently when battery is self-heating, manual control is not allowed.
However, in the future releases, user will be allowed to manually control Yarbo during the battery heating process.
¶ How does battery heating work?
Yarbo’s battery is equipped with a Battery Management System (BMS)
When the battery temperature is detected as too low, the BMS automatically initiates heating
Heating continues until the battery reaches a suitable operating temperature, after which it stops automatically
