Yarbo’s Snow Blower features an innovative floating skid shoe design. This lets the snow blower adjust automatically to variations in ground level, improving clearing efficiency even on uneven or mountainous surfaces.
The Scraper Bar is designed to sit close to the ground for a clean clearing finish. It’s a consumable part and will wear over time.
The Skid Shoes protect the Scraper Bar from small stones or rough terrain. Removing the skid shoes allows the Scraper Bar to sit lower, which may improve snow removal in some conditions but can increase wear or surface contact.
For gravel or crushed stone driveways: Raise the auger height and keep skid shoes installed to avoid scooping pebbles.
For wet or heavy snow: Remove the lower two bars of the intake fence to increase snow intake, and consider attaching the plow blade for enhanced performance.
If leftover snow is an issue: Skid shoes can be removed, allowing the Scraper Bar to make closer ground contact.
