¶ Why This Happens
Yarbo’s battery is managed by a Battery Management System (BMS).
You can think of the battery like a smart water cup:
- The battery is the cup
- The BMS is the meter that calculates how much “water” (power) is left
When Yarbo is charging or discharging, the BMS estimates remaining power by calculating how much energy flows in and out.
- Over time, small estimation errors can accumulate.
This may cause the displayed percentage to drift slightly from the actual battery level.
As a result:
- The battery may appear “stuck” below 100%
- Or it may reach 100% less consistently
¶ Recommended Fix & Why it Works
When the battery is actively charging or discharging, internal resistance and electrical activity affect voltage readings.
If Yarbo does not charge to 100%:
- Leave Yarbo powered off and unused for 4 hours
- Power it back on and check the battery percentage
In many cases, this restores accurate battery display.
Letting the battery sit unused for 4 hours allows:
- All charging and discharging to stop
- Internal reactions to stabilize
- The battery voltage to reflect its true state
Once stabilized, the BMS can recalibrate the displayed battery level using the true voltage value.
This helps correct accumulated estimation drift.
¶ When to Contact Support
If the issue:
- Continues after multiple attempts
- Appears frequently
- Or charging behavior seems abnormal
