The Perimeter Blowing Laps setting controls how many times Yarbo clears the edges of a work area before moving into the interior. Edge clearing creates a clean buffer along the boundary, ensures the rover has enough room to turn safely, and helps prevent track slippage in deeper snow.
Adjusting this setting determines how many laps Yarbo makes around the perimeter. More laps mean more thorough edge clearing — but also more time per task.
0 Laps — Skip perimeter clearing When the plan starts, Yarbo skips edge clearing entirely and begins working directly inside the area. Best for open spaces where edge buildup is minimal.
1 Lap — Single perimeter pass Yarbo clears the perimeter once before working the interior. This is the standard setting for most conditions.
2 Laps — Double perimeter pass Yarbo clears the perimeter twice before working the interior. The interior path pattern (S-shape) maintains an extra-wide distance from the boundary, equal to the width of the second lap, ensuring sufficient turning space for the rover.
Tip: Use 2 Laps in heavy snow conditions where Yarbo's tracks may slip near boundaries. Pre-clearing the turning zone twice gives the rover stable footing during interior clearing.
