Maintaining a clear driveway during winter can be especially challenging for homeowners in remote areas or those with large properties. Yarbo’s Snowfall Notification feature ensures your driveway remains snow-free, even when you're not actively monitoring it.
¶ What is Snowfall Notification?
Yarbo's Snowfall Notification automatically clears your driveway as soon as snow begins to fall. This ensures that your driveway is ready for use, even in the early morning hours when you’re still asleep. This feature is ideal for residents in regions with frequent or heavy snowfall and for those managing large properties that require regular snow removal.
¶ How to Use Snowfall Notification
¶ 1. Accessing Snowfall Notification
- Open the Yarbo App.
- Navigate to the Work Plan section and select the Schedule page.
- Locate the Snowfall Notification and Auto Schedule buttons.
¶ 2. Setting Up Notifications
- Activate Snowfall Notification in the app.
- The Yarbo app will monitor the weather forecast in your area for the next 6 hours.
- If more than 1 inch of snow is predicted within this period, you will receive a push notification asking if you'd like to schedule Yarbo to clear the snow.
¶ 3. Automatic Scheduling
- Confirm the Notification: Upon confirmation, Yarbo will automatically create a snow-clearing schedule based on the first available work plan and the expected snowfall duration.
- Extended Snowfall: If the snowfall continues beyond the initial prediction, Yarbo will extend the work plan to ensure your driveway remains clear until the snowfall stops.
¶ 4. Enabling Automatic Schedule Creation
- Enable Both Features: When both Snowfall Notification and Automatically Create Schedule are enabled, the app will bypass the notification and automatically schedule snow removal without requiring your confirmation.
¶ 5. Email Reminders
- Receive Reminders: You will receive an email reminder 5 minutes before Yarbo begins the snow-clearing work plan, keeping you informed of upcoming tasks.
¶ 6. Handling Schedule Conflicts
Conflict Notification: If a new snowfall schedule conflicts with an existing schedule, the app will prompt you to decide whether to override the current schedule.
- Choose to Override: Yarbo will update the schedule to accommodate the new snowfall plan.
- Decline to Override: Yarbo will maintain the original work plan.
- Automatic Override: If Automatically Create Schedule is enabled, Yarbo will automatically override existing schedules with the new snowfall schedule.
