¶ How to Perform Routine Maintenance of Your Yarbo Snow Blower
Keeping your Yarbo Snow Blower in good shape is easy with a little regular maintenance. Here’s a quick guide to make sure it’s always ready for action when winter rolls in!
Before you dive into any maintenance, keep these safety tips in mind:
⚠️ Important Safety Tips:
- Wear "closed-toe shoes"—no flip-flops or barefoot maintenance.
- Put on some gloves and goggles (safety first!).
- Always turn off Yarbo and disconnect the battery before doing anything.
Follow these steps to safely disconnect the battery:
- Shut down Yarbo in the app.
- Double-check that all lights are off.
- Unscrew the anti-theft bolts on the battery cover.
- Unplug the cable and remove the battery pack—store it somewhere safe.
Keep Yarbo clean to prevent issues with performance. Here’s how:
- Use a soft cloth or brush to remove dirt and debris.
- Skip the solvents or large amounts of water—they can damage Yarbo’s parts.
- No high-pressure water hoses—gentle is better.
¶ 4. Quick Maintenance Checklist
- Battery Check: Look for any signs of wear or damage.
- Tighten Bolts: Make sure everything is securely fastened.
- Camera Check: Wipe the lenses to keep obstacle detection working smoothly.
- Clear Debris: Keep tracks and other parts free of snow or dirt.
- Store it properly when not in use to avoid wear and tear.
- Charge the battery regularly during the off-season to keep it healthy.
- Do a quick system check before winter to make sure everything’s ready to go.
With just a little care, your Yarbo Snow Blower will be ready to handle anything winter throws at it. Regular cleaning and basic maintenance go a long way to keeping it in top condition. If you need help, Yarbo Support is always here for you!
¶ 6. Before and after every operation, DO:
Notice:
Operating with a clogged discharged chute can significantly shorten the motor's lifespan and lead to subpar snow removal performance.
Caution:
- SHUT DOWN Yarbo before cleaning a clogged discharge chute.
- NEVER use your hand to clean the chute. USE the tool provided in the package.
- KEEP HANDS AWAY from the auger and impeller, as they might harm your safety no matter if they are running or not.
- For your safety, remember to wear gloves.
¶ Inspect the auger, housing, impeller and shear pin.
- If any shear pins are broken or if the scraper bar and skid shoe show signs of excessive wear, replace them with new parts.
- Additional shear pins, scraper bars, and skid shoes can be ordered from authorized Yarbo dealers.
