- The original Yarbo Core must already have completed mapping.
- You must have access to the original core’s Docking Station and Data Center.
- The second core must be powered on and able to charge.
- Be aware that area settings and preferences will reset to default after map copy.
Set up the second Yarbo Core by following the New / Replacement Core instructions in the app.
¶ 2. Install the Second Core’s Data Center and Docking Station
- Install the second core’s Data Center (DC) and Docking Station
- Update the Data Center firmware to the latest version
- Manually move the second core onto the original core’s Docking Station
- Initiate charging
- This step is required so the second core can inherit the original dock and DC configuration during map restoration.
- Wait until the second core completes its firmware update
- Confirm the firmware version matches the original core
- Once matched, initiate Cloud Map Restore:
- Select the original core’s serial number
- Tap Restore
⚠️ IMPORTANT
After restoration, the second core now uses:
- The same Data Center
- The same Docking Station as the original core.
Check the rover location in the app:
- The second core must appear correctly positioned on the original docking station
The map transfer will not work
- Go to Settings → Reinstall Data Center
- Complete new core setup
- Create maps manually
If the position is correct, the map copy was successful.
Immediately proceed to the next step.
- Go to Settings
- Select Replace Data Center
- This step separates the second core from the original core’s Data Center.
¶ 7. Check RTK and Map Drift
Make sure the rover is charging and confirm the following:
- RTK Status: 4
- HDOP: less than 1.4
- Quality: 0.6 or higher
- L2: greater than 10
Then:
- Perform Correct Map Drift to align the map to the new Data Center location
- Wait up to 5 minutes for recalculation to complete
Check the rover’s position on the map:
- Ensure the displayed location is accurate
Drive the second core to the new docking station location
In the app:
- Enter Yard
- Select Edit
- Choose Docking Station
- Tap +
This will:
- Disable the original docking station for this core
- Create a new docking station specific to the second core
You may:
- Delete the original docking station, or
- Keep it disabled for potential future use
If at any point:
The rover location is inaccurate, and
Correcting map drift does not resolve the issue
You must:
- Delete the maps
- Remap the area manually
- Area settings, pathways, sidewalks, and similar configurations will revert to default values
- These settings must be reconfigured manually after map copy
