Open the Yarbo App: Launch the Yarbo app on your mobile device.
Go to Setting, find the "Area Settings" section where you manage different zones and settings for your lawn.
This gives you more control over how Yarbo reacts to complex edges like fences, trees, or garden decor. Test it out and adjust for the perfect balance of caution and confidence!
Want a thriving, stress-free lawn? Yarbo’s Target Height is here to help!
This smart feature gradually lowers your mowing height over five sessions-giving your grass time to adjust and recover between trims. E.g, set your target at 3 inches, and Yarbo will start from 4 inches, trimming just 0.2 inches at a time until your lawn hits the ideal height.
If you manually change the mowing height during the process, the system will turn off Target Height automatically.
A simple and efficient pattern where the mower moves in parallel lines. This is the default route pattern.
A pattern that follows an automated spiral route based on the algorithm (so the sequence of whether it starts from outer to the center or from center to the outer may vary), ensuring a smooth and consistent mowing experience.
This pattern rotates the mowing route by 90° with each schedule, creating a checkboard-like effect for a neat and organized lawn.
Similar to Checkboard, but the route rotates 60° with each schedule, offering a different approach to lawn mowing.
There are three turning modes available to help navigate different lawn shapes:
This mode involves a precise 3-step maneuver, perfect for tight spaces. While it causes less strain on the grass, it takes more time to complete.
When selected, the Yarbo will make a large U-turn, reducing turning time compared to the Smart Turn, but it may be less gentle on the lawn.
The most efficient turning mode, ideal for wide, open spaces. However, it may be less gentle on the lawn compared to other modes
In the Area Settings, you can adjust the overlap, which impacts mowing efficiency:
A lower overlap reduces overall working time.
However, a lower overlap increases the risk of uncut grass. We recommend experimenting with the overlap setting to find the balance that works best for your lawn.
When set the route rotation degree to 30°, the route will rotate before each schedule, shown in the following pictures.
There are three gap levels available:
The following picture illustrates the path adjustment when the route angle is set to 90°.
When you enable Mow Along No-Go Zone, Yarbo will mow along the edges of the no-go zones. This may increase the total mowing time.
Similarly, adjusting the Perimeter Mowing Laps setting will determine how many laps Yarbo makes around the perimeter. More laps mean more time spent on the task.
Zone-Specific: The Perimeter Mowing Laps setting applies only to the selected area and does not affect the boundaries of nogo zones.
Automatic Plans: This setting cannot be modified in auto plans; it must be set manually in the area settings.
Pattern Dependency: The Perimeter Mowing Laps count is only available when the mowing pattern is set to "zigzag". If the mowing pattern is set to "Spiral," the Perimeter Mowing Laps option will not be displayed.
Improved Coverage: Increasing the number of Perimeter Mowing Laps ensures that the edges of your lawn are thoroughly mowed, reducing the likelihood of missed spots.
Customizable: Users can tailor the number of laps to their specific lawn conditions and preferences.
Efficiency: While increasing laps can extend the mowing time, it ensures a more comprehensive and neat finish.
Imagine you have a rectangular lawn with a complex border. By setting the Perimeter Mowing Laps to 3, you can ensure that the mower makes multiple passes along the edges, effectively covering any difficult-to-reach areas and maintaining a uniform appearance.
To better customize the mowing route for your lawn, you can now choose whether the mower should mow the edge of the “Area First” or the “No-Go Zone First.”
Simply navigate to: Area Settings > Advanced Settings > Edge Priority Setting and select your preferred option. This gives you greater control over how your lawn is maintained.
These advanced area settings help you fine-tune your mowing boundaries.
Reduce Boundary: Adjusts the entire mapped area inward by a selected value to avoid tight edges or obstacles. Available range: 0 to 16 inches, in 4-inch increments.
Exterior Area Expand: Customize how far Yarbo can extend beyond the boundaries. Available range: 0 to 3.3 feet.
