¶ Understanding Path Offset
The Path Offset feature shifts Yarbo's working path slightly with each task cycle, preventing the rover from repeatedly traveling on the exact same lines within a work area. Over time, repeated passage on identical paths can cause turf damage and rutting — Path Offset distributes the wear across a wider zone to keep your lawn healthier.

Path Offset works with the following route patterns:
- Adaptive
- Spiral
- Parallel
¶ How It Works
When Path Offset is enabled, Yarbo automatically shifts its planned working path by 4 inches (10 cm) each cycle. Shifting continues progressively until the cumulative offset reaches your Overlap setting — at which point it returns to the original path and the cycle repeats.
¶ Examples
- No Overlap configured: Yarbo shifts 4 inches (10 cm), then returns to the original path on the next cycle (minimum offset = 4 inches (10 cm))
- Overlap = 8 inches (20 cm): Yarbo shifts 4 inches (10 cm) per cycle for 2 cycles, then returns to the original path

- Route Angle Settings are disabled
- When Adaptive path is on with Path Offset disabled, only Route Angle remains visible

- Lawn Protection: Distributes wheel pressure across a broader area, reducing rutting and bare strips
- Even Coverage: Naturally varies the working track without sacrificing efficiency
- Set and Forget: Works automatically once enabled — no manual adjustment needed
